Abstract Roger Crisp, in his book Reasons and Goodness , argues favour of de-moralizing our philosophical reflection on ethics. This paper begins by explaining what ‘de-moralizing’ means. Then the assesses Crisp’s argument for puts forward arguments against de-moralizing.
